This Ghost of Yotei walkthrough guide will take you through the Heart of an Ainu side tale and the reward for completing it.
The Heart of an Ainu is a side tale in Ghost of Yotei, where you help resolve a robbery. You have to get to the bottom of this and hunt down the thief. The quest is quite short and does not require too much effort to finish. You will cross several obstacles before encountering the thief.

How To Start Heart of an Ainu in Ghost of Yotei
You can start the Ghost of Yotei Heart of an Ainu side tale by speaking with Huci in the Husko Kotan Ainu settlement. This area is found in Nyaro Wilds. Once you finish interacting with her, she will head off to an area near Nayoro Falls. You will then have to meet up with her, and the quest will begin.
How To Complete Heart of an Ainu in Ghost of Yotei
Meet Up With Huci
While accompanying Huci, you will meet her friend Kaeka, who will explain how she was robbed by thieves. You will then have to head back to the village and investigate Karka’s home to find clues related to the robbery.
Inside the house, interact with a clothing stand, which will trigger an option to ask Kaeka about the missing clothes. Huci will tell you that the thieves likely stole bark strips and will ask you to join her in following a trail of bark strips. Simply follow Huci as she leads you to the next objective.

Get Past the Ravine
Following the bark strips will lead you to an area with a dead horse and a ravine. You will need to cross this path to reach the mountainside where the thieves might be hiding.
After sliding down the slope ahead, look for a fallen tree and use it as a makeshift bridge to reach the opposite side. Then, climb the left wall and make your way across. You will have to hop onto a branch midway to reach the next platform.
Afterward, look to your left and find another set of handholds you can use to climb the cliff. Once you’re across the ravine, jump over, climb up, and cross the next fallen tree. After reaching the other end of the tree, leap toward the right-hand wall and shimmy along the path.
Once you climb up, look for nearby branches to your right. Hop across these branches until you reach the last one, where you need to use a grapple. Swing to the other side and head through a tunnel. Squeeze your way through a narrow gap at the end.

Go After the Thief
After traversing the obstacles, you will eventually spot the thief on the cliff. Go after him, and a cutscene will trigger once you are close enough. After that, follow Huci back to the village to complete the Heart of an Ainu side tale in Ghost of Yotei.
