During the 8th mission of the Battlefield 6 campaign, you play as Gecko, and your job is to destroy Pax’s air defenses. This way NATO will be able to launch a devastating air attack on the facility. In this Battlefield 6 campaign walkthrough guide, we will help you complete mission 8, Operation Ember Strike.

Recon the Valley

Gecko uses her drone to scout the valley for Pax soldiers. Identify the hostiles and drop a bomb to eliminate them. This is a fairly easy objective. After bombing the enemies, return to your squad and locate the old fort.

Locate the Old Fort

Before reaching the Old Fort, you have to deal with some more enemies. Use your drone and guns to put these soldiers to sleep.

Disable the Sam Network

For your next objective, follow the marker that leads you to the overlook. The team scouts the area and points out all the Datalinks. Your objective is to take out Datalink Alpha, Datalink Bravo, and Datalink Charlie. You can go for anyone as your first target. Use your drone to bombard the enemies and destroy the Datalinks.

After destroying the first three Datalinks, you just have to delete the last one near the mountains. However, enemy reinforcements are coming in hot. Use the guided missiles to take out the reinforcements. Move to the marked location and get across the dam in order to destroy Datalink Delta. Things take a turn when Pax destroys the pathway to the Datalink.

Murphy and Gecko have to regroup with the rest of the team to proceed further. You take the lower-level route while fighting hordes of enemies. Regroup with Lopez and Hemlock, and use the vehicle to get to the last Datalink. Reach the location, and with the help of Gecko’s drone, destroy Datalink Delta.

Take Out Mobile AAAS

In order to disable the SAM Network, you have to destroy the dam. However, there are multiple AAAS watching the skies. Your job is to take down these machines so the airstrike team can demolish the dam. First, go to the top of the dam, and use your drone to destroy the mobile AAAS. Just after the AAAS gets destroyed, a large number of tanks start ambushing, and you have to escape this area.

Run away from the tanks, and keep following your team. Head to the marked location, and let the cutscene start. You and your whole team remove the grate and rappel down the dam, completing the mission.
