Pokemon Legends Z-A retains the familiar formula from the past Legends title, while also adding several new features. Other than the highly anticipated Mega Evolutions, Alpha Pokemon also make a return in Legends Z-A. These tough monsters are tough minibosses, and put up a very difficult fight for the most part. The trailers and video clips revealed so far have revealed quite a few Alpha Pokemon, meaning you will have plenty to fight and catch.
While the list of all the Alpha Pokemon in Legends Z-A is not currently known, the trailers have revealed three of them. In this article, we will mention all the Alpha Pokemon that you can find in this game.

All Alpha Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Here are all the Alpha Pokemon that are confirmed to appear in Legends Z-A:
- Alpha Houndoom
- Alpha Gastly
- Alpha Camerupt
Alpha Houndoom was the first one to be revealed during the very first trailer of Pokemon Legends Z-A. However, in the latest Switch 2 Edition Overview Trailer on YouTube, Alpha Gastly and Alpha Camerupt also made their appearances.
Note that you can catch Alpha Pokemon, and hence they can only appear in the Wild Areas in Legends Z-A. You can find Wild Areas spread across Lumiose City, and you must enter the to encounter and catch Alpha Pokmeon.
What Are Alpha Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Z-A?

Alpha Pokemon are bigger and stronger variants, that are like the minibosses in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Based on the appearance and behavior of these special monsters in Legends Arceus, here are some of their characteristics:
- Easily identified by their larger size and red, glowing eyes.
- Several levels higher than the other Pokemon in the area.
- Have better ELs (Effort Levels) than standard Pokemon (although the base stats remain the same.)
- They retain their larger size when (and if) they evolve.
