Digimon Story Time Stranger is the latest JRPG in Bandai Namco’s long-running Digimon video game franchise, released on October 3, 2025. The game tells a grand story where players will have to stop a cataclysmic event named the Shinjuku Inferno by dealing with both past and present conflicts.

What Is the Plot Behind Digimon Story Time Stranger?
At the start of Digimon Story Time Stranger, players will get to pick between two different protagonists: Kanan Yuki and Dan Yuki. As you can expect, the former is a human female, while the latter is her male counterpart. Both of them are members of ADAMAS, which is a secret organization. After that, you will be sent eight years back in time to investigate and prevent an apocalyptic Digimon event named the Shinjuku Inferno.
As the plot moves forward, you will have to complete quests, interact with various NPCs, and help the people of the real world as well as the Digimon of the digital world by travelling through time and hopping in and out of both worlds. The gameplay mainly focuses on finding Digimon and Digi-Eggs and then battling with them in a turn-based combat system and helping them to reach their digivolutions. Furthermore, Digimon Story Time Stranger also offers many dungeons, bosses, quests, and rewards across its various biomes.
