This guide explains how to defeat Cyclonemon in Digimon Story Time Stranger, including its elemental weaknesses.

Cyclonemon is a terrifying boss that you encounter early in Digimon Story Time Stranger. You face him near the end of the Resonating Thoughts mission, which takes place in the Shinjiku Underground Waterway. Here’s a guide to help you defeat Cyclonemon by explaining its weaknesses, resistances and the best team to counter it.
Digimon Story Time Stranger: Cyclonemon Boss Guide

Here’s the basic information about Cyclonemon:
- Type: Virus
- Weakness: Vaccine
- Resistance: Data
- Elemental Weakness: Wind and Ice
- Elemental Resistance: Fire and Earth
As you can see, Cyclonemon is a Virus-type Digimon who is weak to Wind and Ice elemental attacks. However, it is resistant to Fire and Earth elements, so it takes less damage from those types of attacks.
During the fight, you are accompanied by Coo, a Digimon on friendly terms with Inori Misono. You won’t be able to control Coo, but it attacks and takes damage from Cyclonemon.
Fortunately, this is a gimmick boss fight where you only have to decrease Cyclonemon’s health by 40% before it attacks Coo with Hyper Heat. After a short cutscene, Coo evolves into Aegiomon, who has access to Wind Claw, which is very effective against Cyclonemon. Moreover, you can control Aegiomon as if it were part of your team, making the fight much easier.

Recommended Digimon
To start the fight, it is recommended to use Vaccine-type Digimon that have access to Wind element attacks. Unfortunately, there are not many options available to you near the start of the game. Here are some options that work well in this fight:
- Airdramon
- Angemon
- Peckmon
As mentioned earlier, you gain access to Aegiomon mid-fight, who can easily defeat Cyclonemon if you manage to keep your team alive. All you need to do is use healing moves like Heal, which is available to both Aegiomon and Angemon, or utilise any healing item in your inventory.
Finally, make sure you use your Cross Art as soon as you charge it up. It can deal a considerable amount of damage to Cyclonemon. Moreover, with the help of Aegiomon, you can collect lots of Critical Points by exploiting the Wind weakness of the boss.
