To dismantle any of your unwanted gear pieces, you’ll have to take them to the Gear Enhance Artisan NPC. You can find him in the main town, more specifically in the Artisans section of the town. Gear Enhance Artisan is the NPC standing just beside Harvey, the Gear Forge Artisan NPC. If you still can’t locate the dismantling NPC, simply look at your minimap and head toward the forge icons.

After locating the Gear Enhance Artisan, speak to him. Bring him any of your unwanted gear pieces. When the dismantle menu opens up, you can simply choose these items and then click on Confirm. Doing so will complete the dismantling and give you the shards.

What Are Shards?

After breaking down an item, you’ll receive a specific number of shards from it. These shards will be specific to your class. Think of these shards as a form of currency in the game. When you have enough shards on hand, you can use them to initiate a trade where you get higher-quality items or gear. Harvey, the Gear Forge Artisan NPC is in charge of these exchanges. So, after dismantling gear in Blue Protocol Star Resonance, take your accumulated shards to this NPC.

Initially, you’ll be able to grab level 40 equipment from him in exchange of shards. However, as you progress further in the game, you’ll eventually be able to trade your shards to get your hands on level 60, and then level 80 gear. However, keep in mind that you can trade for each type of gear just once per week. So, make sure you plan out how you want to spend those shards beforehand. You don’t want to exhaust your shards to get low quality items or gear pieces that don’t fit your current build.
