The Ghostly mutation in Grow a Garden is a new mutation that the game added as part of the Ghoul update. This is an exclusive mutation tied to the Halloween event for the game. However, since it enforces a decent sell value multiplier for Fruits, you’ll want to get your hands on one as soon as possible. There are a couple of ways for players to grab the Ghostly mutation. In this guide, we’ll take a look at both methods of acquiring the mutation, and its effects.

Ghostly Mutation in Grow a Garden: How To Get

The Ghostly mutation will give your Fruits a 28x value multiplier. You can get it either by using the Great Pumpkin Plant or the Ghostly mutated pets. Let’s dive into each of these methods.

Great Pumpkin Plant Method

You can buy the the Great Pumpkin Seed from the Seed Shop. However, since it’s exclusive to the Halloween event, you can only buy it as long as the event lasts. However, being a Transcendent seed, you might have to check back several times at the shop to find a seed in store. Once you have the seed, plant it and let the tree grow. The Great Pumpkin Plant will then start applying the Ghostly mutation to random plants in your garden after every 5 minute intervals.

We suggest buying multiple Great Pumpkin seeds and planting them in your garden. By doping so, you can have the Ghostly mutation on a larger number of your crops. However, the only tricky part is finding the seed in the Seed Shop multiple times. It’s rarity makes the Great Pumpkin Seed a truly rare find.

Ghostly Mutated Pet

You can also obtain the Ghostly mutation by placing a ghostly mutated pet in your garden. However, the catch is you can only get these pets from hatching premium Spooky Eggs. You can buy these eggs at the in-game shop, but you’ll have to spend Robux for them. After every 125 Spooky Eggs you hatch, you’ll have a guaranteed ghostly mutated pet drop from the next hatch, thanks to a pity system at play here. The pet, when placed in your garden, will add a slight chance of inflicting a random plant with the Ghostly mutation after every 20 minute intervals.

Similar to the Great Pumpkin Plant method, you should have multiple ghostly mutated pets in your garden to maximize the Ghostly mutation on your crops. However, since you’ll need to spend a lot of real world money in the form of Robux to get these pets, we don’t recommend it.

Should You Get the Ghostly Mutation in Grow a Garden?

Yes, it’s absolutely worthwhile to grab the Ghostly mutation on your crops. However, we recommend spending some Sheckles to get several Great Pumpkin Plants in your garden when chasing this mutation.
