The Ghoul Garden event is live in Grow a Garden, and players now have access to a bunch of new Halloween-themed pets. One of the spooky new pets you can get is the Black Cat, your perfect companion during Halloween. Black Cat Pet Trait
The Black Cat is similar to the other cats in Grow a Garden and occasionally gives a size bonus to fruits. But it has an added caveat, which can come in very handy for players looking to maximize the pet’s boost. Here is a breakdown of its pet trait:
- Witch’s Nap: The Black Cat takes a nap every 4 to 3 minutes near the Witch’s Cauldron cosmetic item for 14.5 to 28 seconds. Fruits growing in a ~20-stud radius of the pet during the nap get up to 2x size boost.
The Witch’s Cauldron is a Mythical Tier cosmetic item you can get by opening the newly added Pumpkin Crate. If you have the pet, you can move the Witch’s Cauldron cosmetic around your garden and target specific plants to get the size boost.
How To Obtain a Black Cat Pet in Grow a Garden
Every time you hatch a Spooky Egg, there is an 8.5% chance to get the Black Cat. As a mythical-tier pet, the drop chance is quite low. Which means you will probably need to hatch several Spooky Eggs to get it. You can get the Spooky Egg in a few different ways:
- Buy them for 30 Candy Corns or 149 Robux at the Creepy Critters Ghoul Garden Event Shop.
- Players who contribute to the Witch’s Brew during the Ghoul Garden event have a 10% chance to get the Spooky Egg.
- You can also get one of the eggs as a reward for exchanging Halloween-themed items with the Jack-O-Lantern NPC that occasionally spawns during the event.
As the Spooky Egg is limited to the Ghoul Garden Event, you can only get the Black Cat during the Grow a Garden Halloween event.
