With the release of Pokemon Legends Z-A on the Nintendo Switch 2, many fans may be wondering if it is worth playing on the original Switch.
Pokemon Legends Z-A is the second Pokemon game to have an upgraded version for the Nintendo Switch 2 (after Scarlet and Violet). However, this does not mean that you cannot play the game on the Nintendo Switch as well. The Switch 2 will noticeably have a smoother frame rate and higher graphical performance. These are the first and foremost changes you will notice. However, apart from this, you should know that the Pokemon spawning rates will likely also be higher on the Switch 2.
This is because the newer model has more processing power and will be able to handle more Pokemon on the screen at the same time. This, of course, means that shiny hunting and searching for rare Pokemon will be easier on the Switch 2. Lastly, the combat is also different from the traditional turn-based system. This new system means you need a stable frame rate to dodge and land attacks.
All in all, Pokemon Legends Z-A is worth playing on the Nintendo Switch, as long as you do not have the Switch 2. However, if you do have the newer device, then it is definitely recommended that you get the Switch 2 version of the game instead.
