Could Team Flare return in Legends Z-A? They were the villainous organization whose plans you had to foil when playing through Kalos for the first time. So, in this article, we will take a look at whether Team Flare is still around. This includes its members as well as any impact they left from their actions in Pokemon X and Y.
Members of Team Flare Are Still Around in Legends Z-A
One of the biggest returning characters in Legends Z-A was the former Team Flare admin Mable. For those who don’t remember or need a quick refresher, she was first encountered in Pokemon X and Y in Frost Cavern, harassing an Abomasnow with two Grunts. She is later battled again near the end of the game as Lysandre is preparing to launch his ultimate weapon.
She is seemingly reformed now and seeks the player’s help to fill the Pokedex. The fact that she does so in the Pokemon Research Lab as acting director instead of Sycamore does indicate that she has earned some level of trust to be there. However, looking at her appearances in the trailers so far, we can see a blue version of the Team Flare logo on the back of her chair. So either she has it out of nostalgia, or it’s because she’s still a member of Team Flare.
Team Flare Has Not Been Forgotten
As per the datamines of Legends Z-A, dialogue has been found referring to the Team Flare incident occurring five years ago. Not only does this give us a definite timeline for when this game takes place, but it also shows that Team Flare’s actions are still fresh in people’s minds.
So, it would not be hard to rule out other Team Flare members like Xerosic or Lysandre returning in Pokemon Legends Z-A. They could either be secret bosses, like being the ones responsible for Rogue Mega Evolutions, or they could be repentant of their past actions and seek to reform instead.
