Battlefield 6 has an impressive selection of weapons on offer, but if you’re maining the Assault class, the M4A1 is your ride or die in your loadout. The M4A1 is by far the best weapon for this class, and if you pair it up with the right attachments, you can be shredding enemies in close to mid-range.

As a starter, the weapon is fairly weak in mid-range engagements. Maybe it’s just me, but the recoil can feel a bit off if you’re going with the weapon’s starter attachments. With this guide, we’re here to help you tweak your M4A1 loadout with the right attachments to give you the best build possible.

  • For the scope, we suggest using the Mini Flex 1.00x as it is clean and allows you to perfectly engage in fights in close to mid-range. Since you’re always rushing to the action as Assault, this is what you should use.
  • For Ergonomics, we’ll be using Mag Catch to improve the reload speed. Your mag runs out fast, so you’ll be reloading often. Mag Catch will make this process a lot more bearable.
  • Speaking of magazines, use the 30RND Fast magazine for more bullets and a faster reload. Later on, you can switch this for the 36RND Fast Mag.
  • Use the Alloy Vertical Grip to cut down the recoil even further.
  • Use Standard Ammo as it has the easiest recoil. You could switch this out for Hollow Point later if you’re aiming for headshots more often.
  • The 14.5″ Carbine barrel will improve your ADS timing, letting you quickly lock on enemies for a kill.
  • The Double-Port Brake is the best for cutting down recoil on automatic weapons.
