As you progress through Pokemon Legends Z-A, you will need to rank up in the Z-A Royale. Rank X is where you should start to feel the game challenging you a bit more as the trainers will have more Pokemon. Some of them may even be evolved. How To Reach Rank X in Pokemon Legends Z-A?
In order to progress to Rank X, you’ll have to defeat trainers in the Z-A Royale. Use our guide on some of the best early game Pokemon or the best early game team to help you manage any threat that they may pose.
Face Off Against Yvon For Promotion
Collect enough points until you are ready to face off against Yvon for your promotion match. Her team consists of the following Pokemon:
- Spritzee
- Swirlix
- Vivillion
Having a Pokemon with Steel-type or Poison-type coverage should make short work of her two first-stage Fairies. As for her Vivillion, use Flying-, Fire-, or Rock-moves to deal with it. It might be faster than your team at this point in the game, so having more than one option will help.
Consider using Honedge, as its Steel/Ghost typing lets it resist a lot of attacks and STAB Steel-type moves should be able to handle both Spritzee and Swirlix. Fletchinder is another decent pick as it resists Fairy and Bug attacks due to its typing and deals super effective damage to Vivillion.
Once she’s defeated, you earn a ticket that promotes you to Rank X.
