Methods To Easily Rank-Up in the Z-A Royale in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Every time night descends upon the city, a part of it will be converted into a Battle Zone. You must go to this area to find trainers of a similar rank. This will be a full-scale battle royale where only the strongest will survive. In this situation, a beginner might find it tough to make progress.
However, there are several methods you can use to climb the ranks quickly. These include utilizing Bonus Cards, ambushes, and even progressing through certain main missions.
Bonus Cards
Once you reach a certain point in the story, entering a Battle Zone will spawn Bonus Cards at random spots. You can collect these Bonus Cards by walking up to them and pressing A.
These Bonus Cards are specific challenges you can complete to earn bonus points and medals, which can be used to rank up faster and earn money at the same time. These can range from getting super effective hits to using specific type moves.
Moreover, you can hold three cards at once. Therefore, if you get two of the same cards simultaneously, you can complete both by performing the specific task once. For instance, if you have two cards stating ‘Use a Super Effective move,’ you can complete both missions by using it just once.
Ambush
Early on in the story, you are taught about sneaking from wild Pokemon. However, this technique also comes in clutch against trainers. If you sneak up on trainers, you can ambush them to get a free hit in.
Oftentimes, if you are powerful enough, this will be sufficient to knock out a Pokemon outright, easily reducing your opponent’s strength.
Skip Time
If you are not able to rank up in one night, do not worry about waiting for night again. Find any bench in the city. These are in large numbers and everywhere across the city. You will get the option to rest up at a bench to change the time from day to night, and vice versa.
This way, you can immediately jump back into the Z-A Royale to rank up easily in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
Main Missions

Once you get to the Main Mission 10, you will have the option to get into a promotion match against Vinnie. This will let you advance from rank W straight to rank F. This will also boost your Obedience level by quite a bit.
However, be careful. Vinnie is no pushover and can also Mega Evolve his Drampa in battle. You should try to use Mega Evolution yourself to counter this.
