Bloodmark in Megabonk creates a threshold for enemies that will instantly kill them if they reach it. It is one of the strongest item effects in the game, as it directly reduces the max HP of enemies and bosses. Like many other item effects in the game, Bloodmark effects stack and have unlimited potential to create a broken build that will put you up in the leaderboards. Here are all the details about Bloodmark effects, explained.

What Does Bloodmark Do?

Bloodmark creates a threshold (Dark Red HP Bar) for an enemy if successfully applied to an enemy or a boss. Once the threshold is reached, you instantly eliminate the enemy or boss. This makes it one of the strongest item effects in the game. You can currently acquire the Bloodmark effect through two items, with only one unlocked by default, i.e., Unstable Transfusion. Alternatively, the Bloody Cleaver needs to be unlocked. Both will help you mark enemies with the Bloodmark.

The Bloody Cleaver is a legendary item that can be unlocked after reaching level 50 as Vlad. Any lifesteal on enemies also applies Bloodmark, and adds a 50% chance to apply Bloodmark on hit. The Unstable Transfusion is a common item that is unlocked at the start of the game, which gives you a 27% chance to add a Bloodmark stack on enemies. Both items provide you with a significant chance to add Bloodmark, and it stacks as well.

Simply put, Bloodmark reduces the max HP of enemies and bosses effectively, as reaching the threshold will instantly kill off the enemy. Bloodmark has been one of the meta effects since the game’s launch. Moreover, patch updates still haven’t nerfed it out of relevance.

The Bloodmark effect stacks with lifesteal and DPS items. So, once the game starts ramping up the difficulty, Bloodmark will start being more and more powerful. Pair it with lifesteal and constant DPS, and you will have a good time clearing waves during charge and challenge shrines.

How To Apply Bloodmark in Megabonk?

Megabonk’s Bloodmark effect needs to be applied constantly to reach its full potential. Once it hits, you must keep applying it to make sure it reaches a minimum of around 20%. A dark red HP bar shows the Bloodmark effect on enemies and bosses. This shows the health that you have to reach to kill off the enemy or boss instantly. However, the effect is quite easy to trigger considering the number of projectiles and attacks you hit in a single second.
