Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence are among the many Pokemon that you can catch throughout your journey in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Salamance is one of the few Dragon-type Pokemon in the game that can Mega Evolve, like Dragonite and Garchomp. However, obtaining each of them can be difficult due to the new Wild Zone feature.

To help you out, here’s how you can get Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

How To Get Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence in Pokemon Legends Z-A

In Pokemon Legends Z-A, you can catch both Bagon and Salamence in the wild. However, you cannot catch Shelgon, as it does not appear in any of the Wild Zones on the map. Therefore, your only choice is to catch and evolve a Bagon to Shelgon by levelling one up. Here’s a more detailed breakdown on where you obtain each of them:

Getting Bagon

You can catch Bagon in Wild Zone 18, which unlocks after you complete the main mission Reaching Rank B. Note that this is a very late-game area, which means you have to wait quite a while before you can get your hands on your very own Bagon. In the Wild Zone 18, Bagon can appear in the courtyard in front of houses at any time of the day.

Getting Shelgon

As mentioned earlier, you can obtain Shelgon by evolving a Bagon in your team. Moreover, you have to train your Bagon till it reaches Level 30. Fortunately, the Bagon that spawn in Wild Zone 18 can be pretty high level, so you won’t have to spend a lot of time levelling up to obtain Shelgon in your team.

Salamence is the third stage of its evolution line, and there are two ways to obtain it in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Here are both of them:

  • Evolution: You can train your Shelgon to Level 50 for it to evolve into Salamence.
  • Catching: You can find Salamence roaming around in the same area where you find Bagon, which is Wild Zone 18. However, it only appears as an Alpha Pokemon. These variations of Pokemon usually have high levels and at least three perfect IV stats, making them stronger than most normal Pokemon. It is recommended to have at least two Ice-type Pokemon on your team before you challenge it.
