A new PvE zombie mode is arriving on Marvel Rivals this October. Read to learn more about the mode inspired by the Marvel series.
Disney+ released the Marvel Zombies show in September 2025, and NetEase Games has finally decided to turn it into a game mode. Marvel Rivals is adding a PvE Zombie Mode to the game, where you can fight zombies with your friends. Fans have been asking for a PvE for the longest time, and it’s finally here. In this article, we will talk about the new Marvel Rivals PvE zombie mode and what it’s going to be like.

Marvel Rivals PvE Zombie Mode
The zombie mode is set to release on October 24, 2025. The developers mentioned a secret mode during the Season 4.5 roadmap dev talk, and no one expected it to be this. This is a player vs engine mode, where you can team up with your friends to fight endless waves of undead. Moreover, you can enter this mode solo if you want more challenge. The developers have stated that you can only use the following five characters in the zombie mode:
- Blade
- Jeff The Land Shark
- Magik
- The Punisher
- Thor
During the waves, two bosses will appear to make the mode more challenging. Currently, Zombie Namor and Scarlet Witch are confirmed to be the bosses of this mode. However, you can expect more playable characters and bosses in future updates.

You are going to fight zombies on the Empire of Eternal Night Midtown map. There’s no set goal, as you face an infinite number of undead waves. Unlike other modes, zombie mode has unique abilities for each playable character. As for the availability of the mode, the developers have not mentioned it. It might be a permanent mode or a Halloween-themed mode for a limited period of time. However, NetEase Games has made previous limited-time game events into permanent modes, so we’ll have to see how this unfolds.
