Obtaining the Chaos Tome in Megabonk
The Chaos Tome in Megabonk can be obtained by charging all the shrines in a tier 3 run across all (3)stages without leaving the charge zone even once. This run is pretty difficult to do, as Charge Shrines will attract a lot of enemies once you activate them. Here are a few pointers that will let you unlock the Chaos Tome in Megabonk easily:
- Pick characters with high mobility, such as Calcium, Birdo, and McZoom. These characters will help you find all the shrines and help you clear maps faster. Playing to unlock the Chaos Tome should be done as quickly as you can due to the Tier 3 difficulty, and taking any longer will make it impossible during the later stage Charged Shrines.
- Get XP and Quantity Tomes. This will help you scale a lot faster and clear the quest to unlock the Chaos Tome. The goal is to not finish the game but to clear out all the Charged Shrines.
- There are a total of 15 Charged Shrines in every stage. Make sure to keep a note or a counter every time you clear one. Keep roaming around the Stages to make sure you find every Shrine fast enough.
- Avoid the Beacon item, as it increases the Charged Shrines to 17 for every Stage.
- Avoid activating the Shrines when there are mobs or bosses, as they will swarm you fast once the Shrine mobs also spawn.
- Try to upgrade your mob clearing loadouts (with Quantity and Damage Tomes) to ensure every Shrine you clear is fast, as there’s a lot to clear in every stage till Tier 3.
Why Is the Chaos Tome Better Than Other Tomes?
Chaos Tome will upgrade any stat of your character by almost 10% to 20%. It varies for the stat it increases. The good part is that it all comes from only one tome, so you’ll not have to go around looking for a higher rarity tome or upgrade it. However, the stat upgrades are random, so it might be the best tome in the game for you, or it could be useless.
