Learn about the PvE features and possibilities in ARC Raiders, from teaming up with players to extracting safely.

Upon entering Early Access, ARC Raiders was geared towards creating a compelling PvE experience for players working together to survive and combat ARC machines. However, during the game’s development, Embark Studios changed the game’s format into PvPvE survival-extraction, enabling players to target each other and steal loot for a more tense survival experience.
As a result, ARC Raiders will not have a pure PvE mode available upon release. However, the developers are receptive to player feedback and hold frequent polls. While there is a slim chance for a PvE mode to be added later, players have options to communicate and work together to create a PvE environment.
ARC Raiders: How To Play PvE

ARC Raiders is a PvPvE survival-extraction shooter that does not allow you to play pure PvE upon release. There are a few ways to cooperate with other players and focus on fighting the ARC machines rather than each other.
- Join a Squad: ARC Raiders allows you to play in teams of two or three, or go solo. Having teammates makes the game far less brutal and gives you greater bargaining power against other players. The game’s generous TTK (time to kill) makes getting caught off-guard less punishing. Nevertheless, going solo renders PvP an oppressive danger with no one to revive you.
- Communicate: Use the game’s proximity voice chat to speak with other players and let them know you’re friendly. If you don’t use a mic, utilize the game’s call-out system and emote wheel to communicate. However, this method will not protect you from campers and players hell-bent on aggression.
- Extraction System: The excellent extraction system in ARC Raiders allows groups of players to extract via Elevators or Raider Hatches. For players looking to avoid confrontation and secure their loot, hunting down a boss and escaping within 15-20 minutes is the best option.

Will ARC Raiders Have a PvE Mode?
At the time of writing, there is no confirmation from Embark Studios about a possible PvE game mode or event. However, a sizable portion of the game’s player base seems to be demanding a purely PvE experience in one form or another. So far, Embark Studios has remained open to player feedback, giving the community some hope regarding possible PvE-exclusive missions or events post-launch.
