The Jack-O-Blazer Rod in Fisch is one of the exclusive items that you can get by completing a quest within the ongoing FischFright event of the game. The event takes place in a new island, dubbed Crook’s Hallow. When you get there, you’ll find a variety of new activities and NPCs. Many of these characters will have tasks for you to complete. Take for instance, the Headless Horseman NPC, who has a set of tasks that you can complete to earn the exclusive and rare rod. Let’s take a look at how you can grab this item.
Getting the Jack-O-Blazer Rod in Fisch
The Headless Horseman NPC will be available in the game until the FischFright event comes to a close on November 1, 2025. So, there’s plenty of time to complete his questline. Here are all of the tasks that you’ll have to perform for him.
Locating a Frightful Jack-O-Lantern
You can fish for the Jack-O-Lantern near Crook’s Hallow Island. However, the chances of it dropping are extremely low. Even after catching it, you’ll have to use the Frightful mutation on it by appraising it. Or, you can use the Frightful Relic to enchant your rod. This way, whenever you do catch a Jack-O-Lantern with that rod, it’ll automatically have the Frightful mutation active.
Grab Five Wisps
You will need to collect five Wisps to complete the quest as well. To do that, take the path just beside the Headless Horseman. Proceed forward on this road and you’ll eventually reach a Nessie statue, and find Silas NPC standing near it. Here, you can also spot a graveyard with several headstones. The Wisps will spawn randomly on the headstones. So, wait at the graveyard and look for a blue outline on the headstones. Once the outline appears, approach that headstone and press E to collect the Wisp from it. Make sure you have five wisps by following this method.
Locate the Haunted Candle
Once you’ve completed tasks one and two, head to the Mansion for the Haunted Candle. Look for a dark shaded candle somewhere inside the Mansion. Keep in mind that it can take the place of a normal candle, so look for it in spots where there are other candles.
Get the Blazed Handle
This one drops exclusively when you deliver items at the Witch’s cauldron. Some of her items were stolen by a Goblin. You need to retrieve those items from the Goblin when he appears. The game will offer a notification to tell you when and where he spawns. Reach that location and complete his challenges to get some of the Witch’s stuff back. Whenever you drop one of these items at the Witch’s cauldron, you stand a chance to get the Blazed Handle item.
Accumulate 5000 Candy
Candy is the new currency in the game, and there’s several ways to get it quickly. Whether you go trick or treating or earn Candy by completing NPC quests, you need to have a stock of at least 5000 to complete the Headless Horseman questline.

The Jack-O-Blazer Rod is one of rarest in the game since it’s exclusive to the FischFright event. Here are some of its base stats:

- Luck: 66.6%
- Control: 0.16
- Resilience: 66%
- Max Kg: infinite
This rod also comes bearing two passives. The first one gives any fish you catch with the rod a 20% chance to get the Wicked Mutation. With this mutation active, the value of the catch increases 6.6x times. The second passive ensures that there’s a 2% chance that any catch with the rod will receive the Jack’s Curse Mutation. This mutation appreciates the catch’s value by 16.6x.
