The official Roblox status page dictates that the gaming platform is down due to a widespread AWS outage. AWS, or Amazon Web Services, is a popular client for online services, including various famous websites, streaming companies, and more. According to the reports, the issue started around 12 am PDT on October 20, 2025, and has lasted for about 2 hours.
The official AWS Health page notes that 40 services are impacted due to “increased error rates and latencies”, with AWS DynamoDB completely disrupted. This has severely affected many of the top games on Roblox. While some titles refuse to load, you can spawn into games such as Grow a Garden, with certain things failing to load, such as plants and pets. Other titles such as Plants Vs Brainrots, 99 Nights in the Forest seem to be unaffected.

At 00:23 PDT, Roblox put out the following statement, explaining that they are working with Amazon Web Services to fix the issue. The official status page reads:
“Roblox is experiencing an outage due to an outage involving AWS services. We are working with AWS to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
Update: AWS Fix Deployed
At 2:08 PDT, Roblox announced that an AWS fix had been deployed, with a partial restoration of service across the platform. Disruptions are still ongoing, and players may need to wait a while longer before things return to normal.
