Expansion Crates are rare items that help you increase the size of your Warehouse in Escape From Duckov. Here’s a guide on how to find them.
In Escape From Duckov, if you wish to store your excess loot, you can do so in your Warehouse at the hideout. However, your Warehouse has a limited space at the beginning of the game, which can be increased using Expansion Crates. While all Storage Expansion upgrades require different items, Expansion Crates remain among the more important ones.
To help you out, here’s how you can obtain Expansion Crates in Escape From Duckov.
How To Obtain Expansion Crates in Escape From Duckov
There are a total of three types of Expansion Crates that you can find in Escape From Duckov. Moreover, each has a different weight and upgrades different levels of your Warehouse. Here are all of them:
- Expansion Crate (S)
- Expansion Crate (M)
- Expansion Crate (L)
And, there are two main ways to obtain the Expansion Crates:
- Loot: You can find all three types of Expansion Crates out in the wild. While most boxes can provide you with crates, the Toolbox has the highest chance of providing one in any region. However, Expansion Crates generally have a lower spawn rate, meaning it can take quite some time before you find one, as it mostly depends on the RNG.
- Craft: You can craft both the Expansion Crate (M) and Expansion Crate (L), using the Workbench at the hideout. However, you require crates of the previous tier to make one. Moreover, you cannot craft Expansion Crate (S), as it can only be looted in the wild.
To use the Expansion Crates, simply approach the Warehouse and select the Storage Expansion option.

Where To Find Expansion Crate Recipes in Escape From Duckov
You can find Expansion Crate recipes by defeating different bosses in Escape From Duckov. Here is how you obtain all of them:
- Expansion Crate (M): Rare loot from Pato Chapo in the Ground Zero region.
- Expansion Crate (L): Common loot from Lordon, who roams around in the Warehouse Area region.
Finally, after you get the recipes, research those at the Workbench to start crafting Expansion Crates in Escape From Duckov.
