Blue Protocol Star Resonance features a list of various materials you can use to upgrade items. One of these is Alloy Shards, which are also useful for exchanging or acquiring other items. These are rare crafting materials that can be obtained from certain minerals scattered across the world or as drops from enemies. These minerals must later be smelted to yield Alloy Shards.

Alloy Shard Overview in Blue Protocol Star Resonance
One of the primary purposes of Alloy Shards is to exchange them for high-level gear from the Artisan Guild. To carry out these trades, you can speak with the Gear Forge Artisan, Harvey, who can be found in the Artisan District of the main city. His workstation is located close to Maxim, the Gear Enhance Artisan, whom you can also approach for the opposite purpose, that is, exchanging materials to acquire Alloy Shards.
Where To Find Alloy Shards?
Alloy Shards are not hard to find, as there are various locations and methods to obtain them. Here is a list of ways you can acquire them:
- Complete Dungeons and loot.
- Defeat bosses and collect the drops from them
- Dismantle gears with Harvey or Maxim. (Epic and Legendary gears tend to give the best quantity of shards)
- Completing World Hunts and obtaining the material through rewards.
How To Use Alloy Shards
After acquiring the required number of Alloy Shards, visit Harvey. Once there, interact with him and choose to exchange the shards for items. Preferably, choose high-level gear items to make the exchange worthwhile. You will unlock the ability to exchange for gear as you progress further in the game.
You do not need to spend your shards immediately and can choose to save them until you have enough to exchange for something more valuable. The longer you wait, the more you can upgrade Harvey’s store to unlock even higher-level items.
