Learn how to complete A Fan of Fairy Types in Pokemon Legends Z-A, defeat Faye’s Fairy team, and earn the Fairy Feather reward.
If you like short but fun battles, A Fan of Fairy Types in Pokemon Legends Z-A is one quest you will enjoy. This side mission, listed as #42, introduces you to Faye, a trainer who loves Fairy-type Pokemon more than anything. She is waiting at the battle court in Wild Zone 6 in the Jaune District. Your task is to defeat her team of three Fairy-type Pokemon in a friendly battle.
You can start this quest after progressing through Main Missions 16, 17, and 18. These missions involve chasing down Rogue Mega Pokemon, and once you reach that part of the story, this side quest will appear on your map.
To find Faye, head to Wild Zone 6, which is south of Cafe Bataille near the Saison Canal. It is easy to reach if you use fast travel from the map. Once you enter the Wild Zone, look for the battle court close to the cafe area.
Be careful while exploring, as a Level 33 Alpha Houndoom wanders nearby. It can get aggressive, so make sure you are ready before you approach Faye.
How To Finish A Fan of Fairy Types Quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Once you talk to Faye, she gets straight to the point and challenges you to a battle. She does not wait for you to respond to her questions about your favorite type, so be ready for a fight as soon as the conversation ends.
Faye uses three Fairy-type Pokemon: Cleffa, Swirlix, and Spritzee, each at Level 36. They are all pure Fairy-types, which makes them weak to Steel and Poison moves. Using those types will make the battle quick and easy.
Try bringing Pokemon like Aegislash, Gengar, or Spinarak from Wild Zone 4. They can handle her team without much trouble. Avoid using Dragon-types, as Fairy-type attacks hit them hard, and your Dragon moves will not affect her Pokemon at all.
Since your team will likely be at a higher level by this point, you should be able to defeat her quickly. After the battle, Faye will accept her loss and give you your reward.
A Fan of Fairy Types Quest Rewards in Pokemon Legends Z-A
After you defeat Faye, she gives you 2,400 Poke Dollars and a Fairy Feather. The Fairy Feather is a held item that increases the strength of Fairy-type moves by 20 percent. This makes it a great item for Pokemon like Sylveon, Gardevoir, or any other that uses Fairy-type attacks.
If you want more of this item later, you can buy it from Racine Construction for 4,980 Poke Dollars, but getting it for free from this quest saves you money.
Before leaving, check your map to confirm the quest is complete. While you are in Wild Zone 6, you can also catch a few useful Pokemon like Buneary, Swablu, and Flaaffy to strengthen your collection.
