Enter Build a Zoo from Lobby 4 and open the Halloween Spotlight menu on the right side of your screen. This shows your current progress. You can earn Candy by completing quests like:
- Staying online for 20 minutes x 10 Candy
- Buying a Halloween Mutation Egg x 12 Candy
- Hatching 5 Halloween Mutation Pets x 12 Candy
You can also like other players’ Zoos for an extra +2 Candy each time. Just make sure to wait 60 seconds between likes or it won’t count. If you repeat these steps a few times, you’ll easily hit 20 Candy and claim your Rune.
Build a Zoo Key Guide
For the Key, you need a total of 45 Candy. The best part is that you can work toward both the Rune and Key at the same time since progress overlaps. To earn Candy efficiently:
- Tap the Quest icon on the right side to see available Halloween missions.
- Each quest can be completed multiple times and refreshes every 24 hours.
- Some tasks, like staying online for 20 minutes, have multiple tiers-up to four repetitions that together reward 40 Candy.
The most effective method is to wait for the Halloween Weather Event to start. During this event, Halloween Mutated Eggs spawn on the conveyor belt. Buy and hatch five of these to boost your Candy total while liking other Zoos between spawns for extra rewards.

- Join when the Halloween Fest Weather Event is active, it only lasts five minutes but gives the best Candy and egg spawn rates.
- Mutated animals you hatch during the event earn up to 13x more than normal pets.
