Drampa is a Normal/Dragon type first introduced in Generation VII. While it saw some use early on, its weakness-laden typing and poor Speed stat held it back significantly. So let’s see if its new Mega Evolution helps it out in this regard.
Best Drampa Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A
These are the moves you want to use on your Drampa, especially if you are looking to Mega Evolve it later.
- Calm Mind
- Hyper Voice
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
After Mega Evolving, Drampa gets a decent amount of bulk as well as a very good Special Attack stat. However, it remains very slow and its typing does not change, leaving it weak to common Fighting, Fairy, and Ice-type moves.
Calm Mind is a useful setup move that increases Drampa’s Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage. Mable provides the move as TM006 as part of her research rewards at level 26. Hyper Voice is the best Normal STAB available for it, learning the move at level 50. As for Dragon STAB, Draco Meteor is the best choice here. Teach it to Drampa via TM054 from Wild Zone 20. Fire Blast is a useful move to deal with Steel-types, which is another research reward from Mable at level 41 of her research.

Best Drampa Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Choose a Bold (+Def, -Atk) nature for Mega Drampa. Since this set uses Calm Mind for Special Attack and Special Defense boosts, this nature helps with its physical defense. You can buy a Bold Mint from a vendor in Rouge Sector 1.
Drampa Stats and Location
Drampa spawns pretty late in Wild Zone 19 and in the postgame in Wild Zone 20. As such, Mega Drampa is a Pokemon you will not be able to use for most of your Z-A campaign.
