Gallade is a Psychic/Fighting-type first introduced in Generation IV. While it was pretty decent, it was overshadowed by its Hoenn counterpart Gardevoir. This did not change when both of them received Mega Evolutions in Generation VI. So let’s see if that changes in Legends Z-A.

These are the moves you want to use on your Gallade, especially if you plan to Mega Evolve it later.

  • Swords Dance
  • Psycho Cut
  • Close Combat
  • Night Slash

Mega Gallade is like base-form Gallade on steroids. Its already high Attack and Speed stats get even better. Its bulk also receives a boost in physical Defense, making it a decent Pokemon.

All of Mega Gallade’s best moves come from its level-up moveset. Swords Dance boosts its Attack by two stages and is learned at level 35. Psycho Cut and Close Combat are its STAB moves, learned at levels 42 and 58. Finally, Night Slash is effective against Ghost-types that trouble it greatly.

Best Gallade Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Go with a Jolly (+Spe, -SpA) nature. Mega Gallade has an extremely high Attack stat, which can be further boosted with Swords Dance, so it is better to focus on Speed. You can buy a Jolly Mint from a vendor at Vert Sector 6.
