You Can Speedrun Escape the Backrooms
Even though Escape the Backrooms has a co-op feature for story mode, you can create a private lobby for a single-player experience. This is the best way to speedrun the game. The game was in early access for around 3 years, and they finally released the full game on Steam.
The full version brings a number of new levels that can be tricky for some players. There are more than 30 levels in Escape the Backrooms, and each one has a different setting. There’s a new grass level that seems quite safe, but standing still in this level can be dangerous.

Current Escape the Backrooms Speedrun World Record
The early access had a lot of speedruns for the whole game and also just its different levels. However, since version 1.0 launched, only one YouTuber has completed the speedrun. His name is Chocler, and he completed the speedrun in about 2 hours and 44 minutes. You can expect some more speedrunners beating his time using other shortcuts and glitches, but as of now there’s only one person who completed the Escape the Backrooms 1.0 speedrun.
