It’s a shiny black beetle with a unique ability that boosts the growth of spooky-type plants. Apart from its looks, the Scarab plays an important role in summoning the Lich pet, as it’s one of the three pets required alongside the Bat and Crow.

Spooky Scarab: This ability increases the growth size of spooky-type plants within a 32-60 stud range by 0.32x to 0.64x. It’s a solid boost for players farming event crops or completing spooky-themed mutations.

How To Get the Scarab Pet
You can get the Scarab from the Spooky Chest or Exotic Spooky Chest, both available during the Halloween event.
- Spooky Chest (34.5%): Buy it from the Spooky Seeds Shop at the Halloween Market, which appears hourly at the map’s center. Each chest costs 30 Candy Corn or 199 Robux if purchased directly.
- Exotic Spooky Chest (34.5%): Has the same drop rate, and the pet is guaranteed on your 6th chest.
- Special Exotic Spooky Chest
You can also earn a Spooky Chest by completing the Reaper’s Ritual, hosted by the Harvest Reaper NPC. The ritual begins every two hours in the main lobby, where you’ll find 25 ritual plates that require specific plants to be offered. Once all plates turn blue, you’ll complete the ritual and earn a Candy Corn drop, a Spooky Chest, and a chance to get the Severed Spine seed.
