The Grey Wolf Mask is an uncommon headgear found in Chapter 1 after defeating the Lingxuzi boss in the Black Wind Mountain. The Grey Wolf Mask has the unique effect of inflicting more damage against enemies in critical health. Ideally, this helm would complement a three-piece bonus item set like a Serpentscale Set or a pre-order bonus Folk Opera four-piece set. The extra damage is critical for finishing off targets, where you’d be required to attack several times.
Additionally, the Grey Wolf Mask is non-craftable and has no additional set bonuses. This truly unique headgear should be on your radar in Chapter 1 to complement a beginner’s build.

To get the Grey Wolf Mask in Black Myth Wukong, defeat the Lingxuzi boss located in Chapter 1, Black Wind Mountain, Forest of Wolves, near the Guayin shrine. After finding the Guayin shrine, continuing traveling to meet the Lingxuzi monster. Upon defeating the giant wolf, you will obtain the Grey Wolf Mask and a Mind Core.
In chapter one, there are four locations: Forest of Wolves, Bamboo Grove, Black Wind Cave, and Ancient Guayin Template. The Guayn Template is a secret location within the Black Wind Mountain. You can unlock a secret boss unrelated to Lingxuzi while here by ringing the three bells in the Forest of Wolves and Bamboo Grove. Yaoua King Elder Jinchi is a secret boss in this location.

Boss Lingxuzi Tips for Defeating
To beat the boss Lingxuzi, use the Immobilize spell and Red Tides Transformation. Immobilize will lock the boss and place and allow for free damage. You want to do this when the boss is staggered or weakened to ensure the maximum duration of the spell. The Red Tides transformation is also helpful due to its fire damage. For gear, armor, and staff, consider the Folk Opera set, which has increased defense but requires the pre-order bonus.
Ideally, you want talents to aid in dodging and stamina recovery. Take Simian Agility and Endurance for optimal mobility in the Self-Advancement Foundation section. Smash Stance Force Unbound stacks well with these two skills because you can sprint and charge a heavy attack. Additionally, look to utilize the Cloud Step spell if you suffer from weak stamina sustain. This can give you an extra mobility advantage while your stamina is recovering. Thus, go back and forth between stunning the boss with Immobilize and creating space with Cloud Step.
How to Use Grey Wolf Mask in Black Myth: Wukong
The best way to use Grey Wolf Mask is by combining the headgear with a three-piece set like a Serpentscale Set. Since this one-piece bonus is unique, pairing it with another set that offers a bonus with three-piece equipment is the best usable. The Serpentscale gives health recovery when at low health. Meanwhile, the Grey Wolf Mask deals extra damage to low-health targets, giving you a defensive and offensive bonus when you or an enemy is at low health.
Grey Wolf Mask is helpful with a Smash Stance build using Resolute Counterflow and Immobilize spell. The Resolute Counterflow can stagger enemies after a counterattack, and staggered enemies stay stunned longer via the Immobilize spell. With additional damage at low health, you can counter, combo, and finish enemies quicker.
