Black Myth: Wukong features many different mechanics and systems that contribute to making the game interesting. Some of these mechanics, like Sparks and respecing, are quite simple to grasp and understand. However, others can be a bit more complicated.
Such is the case with Mind Cores, an invaluable resource that you will find on your journey through Black Myth: Wukong. You can use them to progress your character’s stats.
Where to find Mind Cores in Black Myth: Wukong
Mind Cores are quite rare in the earlier chapters of Black Myth: Wukong. You can acquire them by defeating bosses or purchasing them at the Keeper’s Shrine Stores.
It is important to remember that not all bosses drop Mind Cores upon being defeated. However, end-of-chapter bosses have a higher chance of dropping this useful resource. Other than that, you can purchase a finite amount of Mind Cores from the Keeper’s Shrine Store.
Exploration can also be your friend when trying to find Mind Cores in Black Myth: Wukong. You can explore the levels to find chests since they have a chance of dropping Mind Cores. They become increasingly common in chests in later chapters of the game.
How to use Mind Cores in Black Myth: Wukong
Once you are satisfied with the Mind Cores you have, you can find the Xu Dog NPC. He is located near the Cellar Keeper’s Shrine, close to where you fight the Yellow Wind Sage. You can interact with Xu Dog to unlock the ability to craft Medicines through him.
With Xu Dog and the Mind Cores, you can make Celestial Medicines. These act as powerful buffs that can enhance your character’s stats, including Maximum Health and Maximum Mana. Additionally, you can respec these Celestial Medicines any time you want, much like how you can respec Sparks. For this, you simply have to revisit Xu Dog and choose the Remake Celestial Medicine option.
