The Jingubang Staff in Black Myth: Wukong is a legendary mythical weapon associated with the Monkey King Sun Wukong.
The Jingubang Staff is a late-game weapon in Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 6. It is significant in Chinese mythology as the legendary Monkey King Sun Wukong wields it in the book Journey to the West. The weapon has magical properties and can change its size; it is capable of being as small as a needle, something that was showcased in the game trailer.
In this guide, we shall discuss how you can get your hands on this legendary mythical weapon. You can also unlock the whole Sun Wukong armor set to go with the Jingubang Staff.
How to Find the Jingubang Staff and the Sun Wukong Armor Set
The Jingubang Staff holds great importance in the lore of the game, and obtaining it is no easy task. To get the full Sun Wukong set, you will have to first defeat four different bosses — the Gold Armored Rhino, the Feng-Tail General, the Cloudtreading Deer, and the Emerald-Armed Mantis.
Boss fights grant you the Sun Wukong Armor Set
The Gold Armored Rhino is the first foe you will encounter. To defeat the rhino, focus on removing its horn using heavy attacks since the creature is nearly immune when its horn is intact. The horn takes about 45 seconds to regenerate after being broken. Utilize this time to defeat the rhino for the Gold Suozi Armor.
The Cloudtreading Deer is located near the big red tree. When fighting the deer, stay alert. The creature going on its hind legs is a precursor to a strong AOE attack. Do not stay behind the deer for too long as he kicks back. Moreover, make sure you have the Frostsprout Twig equipped for chill resistance against the tornadoes it spawns. The Ring of Fire spell is your best bet during this fight as it stuns the deer. You will receive the Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders upon victory.
To find the Feng-Tail General, you must ascend on your cloud and scan the area for the grasshopper. The creature bounces around, so you should be able to spot it fairly easily. Land on top of the creature and clutch on to it. You”ll require a minimum of 300 stamina to get through the three separate taming events. In the first half, you have to hold on to the creature. In the second half, you have to do the same but with the Fireproof Mantle. Tame the creature to get the Golden Feng-Tail Crown.
Lastly, find the Emerald-Armed Mantis inside Zhu Bajie near a golden tree. The creature is aggressive and has fairly long combos. Time your heavy attacks with the end of its combos to deal damage before evading, and then repeat. Use the Turtle Treasure transformation to boost your heavy attacks and defeat the creature. You will receive the Dian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers once you kill the creature.
Where to Find the Jingubang Staff
To complete the Sun Wukong set, you need the Jingubang Staff. The staff is inside the Water Curtain Cave in Chapter 6 of the game. You will need the Somersault Cloud spell to locate and enter this cave.
Spawn near the Verdant Path Shrine and get on the cloud. Move along the path and then go over the cliff. Make your way across the marshlands towards a tree with golden leaves. Descend here, and then walk towards the waterfall.
You will find the Water Curtain Cave behind the waterfall. Walk on the straight path lit up by torches in the cave. You will spot the staff jutting out from the ground, seemingly exuding light, at the end of the path. Interact with the staff to trigger a cutscene and obtain the legendary weapon.
