Pokemon GO has recently seen the addition of the Galar starters Grookey, Sobble, and Scorbunny. Even with these additions, GO does not currently have all the entries from the Pokeverse, with many pivotal ones like Arceus missing from the fray.

There are currently 865 Pokemon in Pokemon GO, which is around 83% of the entire Pokeverse. Although not all regions are fully added, you will still find every critter from the first three generations in the game, including the legendaries.

In this article, we will explore exactly how many Pokemon are currently there in Pokemon GO across all the generations. We will go through each region and look at the count for each of them individually.

All Pokemon in Pokemon GO Explored

Completing the entire Pokedex is the general goal of every Pokemon trainer across all games. Although not every critter has been released in Pokemon GO, you should have a total of 865 Pokemon, counting every event and Special Research that has happened to date.

Here is the released Pokemon count from each region:

Gen I – Kanto Region

All 151 of the original Pokemon from the Kanto Region are currently available in Pokemon GO.

Gen II – Johto Region

Each and every one of the 100 critters from the Johto Region are available in Pokemon GO.

Gen III – Hoenn Region

The Hoenn Region has 135 critters, all of which are readily available in Pokemon GO.

Gen IV – Sinnoh Region

107 new critters made their appearance in the Sinnoh Region, including the Pokemon God Arceus. However, not all of the monsters from this generation are available in Pokemon GO currently.

Unreleased Pokemon from the Sinnoh Region in Pokemon GO:
