Defeating Heismay in Metaphor Refantazio will be an easy task, once you spot and attack the real Heismay from his clones.
Metaphor Refantazio is a turn-based RPG game, developed by Atlus and published by Sega. The game sold one million units on its release day, October 11, 2024.
During the Old Castle Town Kidnapper quest, you will eventually face the Eugief Knight Heismay in a battle at Giant Sandworm’s Nest. Since Heismay is already revealed as a Party Member and one of the major 5 characters of the game, players would have already known he would join your team. Fighting him on this mission helps the players to know his backstory and how he joined the team.
You will face Heismay twice in back-to-back fights. So you have to defeat him not once but twice. Let’s discuss the strategies on how to defeat him.

How to Spot the Real Heismay In Metaphor Refantazio?
Heismay is comparatively not as tough as the other bosses. Most bosses in Metaphor Refantazio have unique and peculiar traits, which makes turn-based combat battles more interesting and engaging. Though Heismay is a quite weak boss, he follows a unique skill that confuses the enemies and even the players.
During the battle, he will eventually use a Clone Art, which summons three clones of him. If you make a wrong attack on any of the clones, then you will lose your entire turn, and Heismay will attack you repeatedly with his clones. So you need to spot the real Heismay and attack him instead of the clones.
Here is how you spot the real Heismay. Look at the feet of all Heismay; the one with the shadow is the original. You need to attack the Heismay that casts the shadow. Once you figure out this tactic, then the remaining battle will become easier if you use single-target moves instead of multi-target moves. He has no weakness or resistance, so you can use any Archetype during the battle.
Heismay Second Battle in Metaphor Refantazio
Once you defeat Heismay during the first battle, he will run away. You need to search his hut and find clues. After a cutscene, you will enter part 2 of the battle. This battle follows almost the same patterns as the first one, with the introduction of two new attacks. He throws sand at you, which affects the accuracy. Another attack causes the Forget Status effect that prevents you from using your skills.
