Follow this guide to learn how to complete ‘A Battle Of Speed! Defeat Beerus!’, one of the hardest bonus battles in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has multiple modes to entertain the players, such as story-focused Episode Battle mode, Tournament Mode, and Custom Battle. The Custom Battle menu contains 37 bonus battles for the players to complete. The ‘A Battle Of Speed! Defeat Beerus! ‘ is probably the toughest among them.
In the bonus battle, players take the role of the ‘Saiyan Prince’ Vegeta to battle against Lord Beerus. During the pre-battle cutscene, Vegeta requests Beerus to fight him as a part of his training by saying, “I need to get a strong lead over Kakarot…” Beerus accepts the challenge by mentioning a stipulation: “This will be over the moment I get bored.”
It implies that during the battle, Beerus will finish off Vegeta with his Instant Kill attack if he is bored. Some players find this battle difficult because he quickly uses his One Hit Knock Out attack at random points and ends the battle. But here is what you don’t know about the Beerus Instant Kill attack that is performed at random points. In fact, it actually has a trigger point, which can be found and stopped with the right strategy.
A Battle Of Speed! Defeat Beerus! Guide
Stopping Beerus’s Instant Kill attack is the key to victory in the ‘A Battle Of Speed! Defeat Beerus!’ bonus battle, which can be performed by depleting Beerus’s two full health bars per minute. To be more specific, you need to deal 20% damage every 30 seconds. If you do enough damage every 30 minutes, the fight continues. But if you fail to do enough damage on Beerus, he gets bored and finishes the battle by saying, “I’m bored. It’s time to end this.” As we mentioned above, there is a trigger point for the attack. You will receive the voice hint with Vegeta saying “Oh no… They’re getting bored.” If he says that, it implies that Beerus is almost ready to end the battle and you have only 10 seconds remaining to stop it.
Deal enough damage by using Vegata’s combination of all attacks. Charge your Ki gauge to enter Sparking Mode. Do enough damage in Sparking mode by unleashing the combo moves. If you hear the voice hint, try attacking with Final Flash to stop the Instant Kill attack. Use Vegeta’s special moves such as Absolute Rush and Galick Gun whenever possible. If possible, transform into Super Saiyan God Vegeta and perform Prominence Flash, which deals enough damage to take Beerus out.
Galick Gun is so powerful, that it counters Berus Ball and even Beerus’s Instant Kill attack. Yes…you heard that right. It is possible to counter Beerus’s Instant Kill attack by timing the Galick Gun move at the right moment and winning the beam clash, but it is very difficult to perform and needs experience.
Rewards
Completing the battle rewards 30,000 Zeni and the God of Destruction Training Battle Ability item. The item increases the player’s maximum health. Clearing the battle also unlocks the God vs. God Bonus Battle.
