Nitrate in Enshrouded is an important resource used for crafting explosive materials, tools, items, and some of the most powerful spells.
The world of Enshrouded is unforgiving, and you will frequently find yourself short on resources, scavenging every building for just a little more to survive the day. Nitrate is one of the more important resources in the game and is, as all important resources seem to be, scarce. The resource is used for making explosive substances, tools, spells, and various other items. The item isn’t found in the world and instead has to be manufactured in a laboratory.
In this guide, we shall go over Nitrate in Enshrouded, the steps you need to follow to manufacture it, and the ingredients needed for the process.
How To Craft Nitrate in Enshrouded
As stated earlier, Nitrate is not a naturally occurring resource and needs to be crafted in the Alchemist’s Laboratory. The Laboratory can be built after unlocking the Alchemist. Once you have the Laboratory in place, you will need the following ingredients to craft Nitrate in Enshrouded:
- 5x Sand Sand
- 5x Salt
- 1x Wood Acid
- 1x Alchemical Base
Sand
Sand is, thankfully, an easily accessible resource found in the fifth area of the game, the Kindlewastes region. Upgrade your Flame Altar to level four to access the Kindlewastes region. Then, take a pickaxe and use it to mine sand directly from the ground.
Salt
Salt is another resource that is available in abundance. You can find this ingredient in any of the salt mines in the game. The first salt mine you encounter during the Salt Mine Location survivor quest will also serve you well. Simply head to a salt mine, such as the Egerton Salt Mine or the Saline Quarry, and get to work with your pickaxe.
Wood Acid
You can craft Wood Acid at the Charcoal Kiln crafting station. Note that Wood Acid does not occur naturally. Access the Charcoal Kiln by assigning a Blacksmith to your base. Crafting Charcoal for the first time unlocks the Wood Acid recipe. Browse through the crafting station recipes and select “Wood Acid” to craft the resource.
Alchemical Base
Craft the Alchemical Base at the Alchemical Station using the following resources:
- 1 x Shroud Liquid (found in mushrooms)
- 1 x Mycelium (found in mushrooms)
- 1 x Water
- 1 x Shroud Spores (dropped by enemies)
With the resources in hand, use the Alchemist’s Laboratory to craft Nitrate.
