Everything you need to know about how to solve the Bridge Blight puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, its location, rewards, and more.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard, despite its linear structure, does feature some truly memorable quests. While most of the quests in the game usually end up concluding in a combat encounter, some of them offer a different form of challenge. Certain quests require you to solve puzzles, à la old-school dungeon-crawlers, to progress through them. One such quest is The Singing Blade, which features a unique environmental puzzle. To progress through the quest, players need to clear a Blighted bridge. However, getting rid of the Blight is much easier said than done. Clearing the Blight is a multi-step process that can be a bit confusing for some players.
To clear the bridge, players essentially need to destroy the Blight nodes across the area. However, locating these nodes can be quite tricky. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to solve the Bridge Blight puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Bridge Blight Puzzle Location in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
You will automatically reach the Blight Bridge during The Singing Blade quest. During the quest, you will have to make your way to a Ritual Site. After arriving at the Ritual Site, you will find a Darkspawn Ghoul that you need to chase. After chasing the Darkspawn for a while, you will eventually reach a Blight node that you need to destroy.
Upon destroying the node, you will reach a Beam Generator. Past the Beam Generator, you will find another gate that takes you to the next area. However, to progress through the new area, you will have to first clear the Blight Bridge. Before you start destroying the Blight nodes, you will have to fight a horde of Darkspawn.
How To Solve the Bridge Blight Puzzle
After you defeat all the Darkspawn in the area, you will be able to start hunting down the Blight nodes. The first Blight node is near the blockade, on the wall. This node is hard to miss as it’s visible from the area close to the bridge. Shoot the Blight node using a long-range attack (or spell) to destroy it. Removing the node will allow you to proceed across the bridge. You will find another Blight node underneath the bridge.
However, to see the node, you first need to remove the Power Crystal near the bridge. Removing the Power Crystal will make the bridge disappear. With the bridge now gone, you will be able to see the Blight node clearly and destroy it.
The next Blight node is directly to the left of the second node. Destroying the first three nodes will allow you to progress to the next area. Make sure you take the Power Crystal with you. You will eventually reach a gate room with an empty slot for the Power Crystal. Place the Power Crystal in the empty slot to open the gate to the next area and also the location of the Darkspawn Ghoul.
In this new area, you will have to fight the Darkspawn Ghoul first and then solve a few easy Beam Generator puzzles. After defeating the enemies and solving the Beam Generator puzzles, you will receive the Lyrium Dagger. With the dagger in your possession, talk to Harding to conclude The Singing Blade quest. Your rewards for completing The Singing Blade quest, as well as the Bridge Blight puzzle, include 300 Gold, a Shortbow for Harding, and 1850 XP.
