GSC Game World returns with their popular series again. Check whether Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has early access as the game’s release date gets closer.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is finally set to release on the 20th of November after several delays. This is now the official release date, and everything seems to be coming along nicely. But what about the game’s early access?
It is a developing trend in the gaming industry to grant players early access to games based on certain criteria. Players either buy a premium edition of the title or preorder it to have early access as some sort of bonus.
Unfortunately, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl doesn’t offer early access. GSC Game World has kept it simple, wanting the entire player base to experience the game simultaneously.
However, the game still offers different editions that players can buy and even preorder to avail themselves of some benefits. Despite the lack of early access, the developers seem to be offering a good deal to fans.
Stalker 2 Editions That You Can Buy
Stalker 2 is only coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC. Unfortunately for PlayStation players, the game could take a while to get ported—or it might just stay loyal to Microsoft because of the exclusivity deal.
If you have access to the PC Game Pass ($11.99/mo) or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($19.99/mo), you will get to play the game on release day itself. The available edition will be Standard. Those who don’t pay for either of these passes can buy the Standard Edition for $59.99.
The Deluxe Edition, on the other hand, is priced at $79.99 and offers some extra content that may attract players. This edition includes:
- An additional side quest
- 1 costume and 3 weapon skins for single player
- 2 costumes and 3 weapon skins for multiplayer
- Digital artbook
- Digital soundtrack
The game also has an Ultimate Edition, priced at $110. It includes content from both the Standard and Deluxe Editions, plus some added bonuses:
- A season pass that grants access to two story expansions and other upcoming DLCs
- 3 costumes and 7 weapon skins in multiplayer
Pre-ordering any edition of the game comes with bonuses that players can enjoy. While these don’t directly affect gameplay, they can be used for cosmetic and aesthetic purposes. These bonuses include:
- More guitar tunes and stories around campfires
- Early Bird skin for weapon and costume
- Early Bird multiplayer badge
