Before you can attempt to fight the Fell Dragon Youngling in Enshrouded you must first summon it by completing the Slaying the Corrupted Beast quest. You will receive this quest from The Flame, after you strengthen the Flame Alter to Level 7. It charges you with defeating “the beast that dwells inside Howling Peak.” Here are the steps to complete the Slaying the Corrupted Beast quest:

  • Receive the quest from The Flame.
  • Find the first balefire (locations should be marked on your map).
  • Light the first balefire.
  • Find and light all of the other seven balefires.
  • Make your way to the very top of Howling Peak.
  • Defeat the Fell Dragon Youngling.
Slaying the Corrupted Beast Quest need Updraft skill to find the balefires

Furthermore, to successfully find and light all of the balefires in the Slaying the Corrupted Beast quest you will absolutely need to unlock the Updraft skill in the green skill tree. Without this passive active, you will not be able to reach some of the balefires.

Updraft is an Assassin/Trickster Skill that requires 4 points to unlock. Once this passive is active, pressing the jump button while gliding will give you a small height boost. This skill can be used once per flight and will cost you 120 mana.

Enshrouded How to Beat the Fell Dragon Youngling on Howling Peak

To defeat the Fell Dragon Youngling in Enshrouded you will need to use A LOT of Stun Arrows to bring the beast down to the ground, then get behind it to deal powerful backstab damage. We highly recommend using our Ranger build to accomplish this task.

Spellcasters who want to attempt this fight should focus on Lightning spells for damage and stun. Keep in mind that wands do not have the range to reach the dragon in the air. Therefore, you’ll need a Lightning staff, as well. Overall, if you are attempting this solo, the Ranger is the way to go.

How to Defeat Fell Dragon Youngling tip 01
Use Stun Arrows to bring down the Fell Dragon Youngling in Enshrouded

The Fell Dragon Youngling has two bars in the upper right-hand side of the HUD. The top red bar is the dragon’s health, and this beast has a lot of it. There is a smaller bar below, his stun meter, that will fill up with grey as you successfully stun him. This will go slowly, so you’ll want to bring hundreds of arrows with you. Furthermore, you can also add to the stun meter by parrying the red shroud meteors.

The dragon has a fire ‘beam’ attack that it will breathe in a sweep across the whole area. You can double jump over this if you time it right. It’s generally easier to avoid if you stay on the outer edge of the ring.

Be prepared for a long battle because this is not a fight you can burn through quickly with DPS. The stun meter takes time to fill up before you can even bring the monster down and start chipping away at its health. Bring plenty of stun arrows and learn the dragon’s mechanics and moves. It may take a few tries, but eventually you will be able to conquer the Fell Dragon Youngling!
