Other than collecting cards and taking part in competitive PvP battles, there are a ton of other things you can do in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Although trading is not available yet, there are other ways to be “social” in this game.
This is where the Community Showcases come in, and it is a fun way to flaunt your collection while also receiving validation (and rewards). In this article, we will explain what Community Showcases are in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Pokemon TCG Pocket: What Is the Community Showcase?
You can flaunt a collection of cards or a singular card in the Pokemon TCG Pocket Community Showcase for all players to see. It is essentially a trophy showcase where you flaunt your most unique or rare cards to other players. You can also select from a pre-made list of hashtags, which is similar to the feature that you see in social media apps like Instagram.
Moreover, other players who see your collection can also “like” your collection or card, and you will receive a Shop Ticket per like. It is currently unknown whether this has anything to do with the daily Shop Ticket receiving limit that exists in the game.
Types of Community Showcases
There are two types of Community Showcases in Pokemon TCG Pocket:
- Display Boards – You can display a singular card here wrapped in a proper encasing.
- Binders – You can display a collection of up to 30 cards with this.
How To Set Up a Binder in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
Here are the steps to set up a binder in Pokemon TCG Pocket:
- Open Pokemon TCG Pocket and head to your card collection.
- Select the Binders option from the top left of your screen.
- Click on Create New.
- Select the Cover, and give a unique name to your Binder.
- On the top left corner, you can select the visibility of the binder and also set its tags.
- Select up to 30 cards from your own collection and click on Add.
- Finally, click on Save.
If you have set the visibility to Public, others will be able to see your binder in the Pokemon TCG Pocket Community Showcases. You will receive Shop Tickets each time someone likes it.
How To Set Up a Display Board in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
Follow these steps to set up a Display Board in Pokemon TCG Pocket:
- Open Pokemon TCG Pocket and head to your card collection.
- Select the Display Boards option from the top left of your screen.
- Click on Create New.
- Select the Frame and click on Ok.
- Select the card that you want to feature and click on Add.
- Set the visibility of the Display Board and also set its tags from the top left corner of your screen.
- Click on Save once you are done.
Similar to Binders, if the visibility of the Display Board is Private, others will not be able to see it in the Pokemon TCG Pocket Community Showcases. If you want to show off your card and hopefully receive some Shop Tickets, it is advised that you make it Public instead.
