WWE 2K25 is set to be the next big title in 2K’s WWE series, so learn all about it right here, including its potential release window.
The WWE 2K series has been releasing a new title every year since its 2K branding in 2013. The only exception to this rule was in 2020 and 2021 when the series was put on hold due to the disastrous release of WWE 2K20. Now, fans expect WWE 2K25 to be revealed soon, as the game has already been confirmed by Take-Two’s financial report.
The same report also revealed the release window, although an official release date hasn’t been announced. So, here’s what you need to know about WWE 2K25, including its release window and what platforms it might be available on.
WWE 2K25 Release Window, Supported Platforms, and More
Earlier this year, Take-Two released a financial report revealing the release windows for several of their titles. Going by this report, WWE 2K25 is set to release in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025. This means that you can expect the game by March 2025. If 2K’s past releases are any indication, the game’s release will coincide with the 2025 Royal Rumble, which is scheduled for February 1, 2025.
This is if we assume that there will be no delays or unexpected hurdles. As mentioned before, the series was on hiatus between 2020 and 2021 following the massive failure of WWE 2K20. However, since then, every subsequent game has been vastly improved, and every year, 2K takes player feedback into consideration.
We still don’t know anything about the upcoming WWE title and whether it will be a massive step up from its predecessor or just a minor upgrade. With WWE 2K24 having released its final DLC, you can expect a new reveal trailer to come out soon. This will be the 11th game under the WWE 2K banner and the 25th video game based on WWE.
Another interesting thing that you should note is that Take-Two’s financial report didn’t mention the platforms for WWE 2K25. It’s simply marked “TBA,” so there’s a possibility that you might only be able to play it on next-gen consoles. The last title was released on March 8, 2024. It was available on Windows PCs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
