Dragon Quest 3 Remake, developed by Square Enix, was released on November 14, 2024. The Sword of Kings is one of the most powerful weapons in the JRPG. It is a treasure of Castle Tintagel and is said to have been destroyed by Zoma. Before wielding the sword, you must first repair this formidable weapon.
Venture to various regions around Alefgard and collect the three required materials: Orichalcum, the Broken Blade, and the Forging Hammer. Here is how to get all the required materials and repair the Sword of Kings in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.

Steps To Repair the Sword of Kings in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
Once you reach Alefgard and defeat Baramos, you are free to collect the materials to craft the Sword of Kings.
Locations of Orichalcum, The Broken Blade, and The Forging Hammer
- First, obtain the Orichalcum at Damdara. Head to the town of Damdara by traveling south of Tantegel. The talks of the town lead you to a horse stable in search of Orichalcum. Investigate the stable to get your first material, Orichalcum.
- Next, head to Cantlin by traveling east. Enter the building and head to the top floor to find a room with a scientist. There you will find the Broken Blade, our next component to repair the sword. Interact with the table on the right to pick up the Broken Blade after a conversation with the scientist.
- Our next stop is Kol. Head northeast from Cantlin and make your way through Rimuladar to reach Kol. Find the Swordsmith at the item shop upstairs. Interact with the Swordsmith to learn about his Hammer, which points you to Jipang.
- Head to Jipang and enter the house located northwest of the town. You will find the Forging Hammer on your left.
Crafting the Sword of Kings
Now that we have all the required materials, head back to the Swordsmith at Kol to repair the Sword of Kings. Reach the item shop at Kol again and head upstairs to interact with the Swordsmith. Now, he will craft the Sword of Kings and reward it to you for your efforts. This also completes the Stately Sword achievement trophy.
Unlike the original game, where you have to pay for the sword, this remake version gives you the sword free of cost. The Sword of Kings allows you to deal with a group of enemies by sending a shockwave toward them.
