Path of Exile 2 is releasing in a few short days, albeit in early access. Much like the previous title, Path of Exile 2 (PoE2) is an MMORPG akin to games like the original World of Warcraft, Diablo, or even Warframe. Although the original Path of Exile was more of a cult classic with a small fanbase, it eventually grew into a mainsteam MMO owing to the constant content updates and expansions. Path of Exile 2 aims to follow a similar route with multiple expansions and frequent content updates to keep players engaged. Furthermore, the sequel, much like the original, is free to play, with optional in-game purchases and paid expansions/DLCs.
With the game’s early access release dawning ever closer, here’s everything you need to know about Path of Exile 2, including its release date, system requirements, and more.
Path of Exile 2 Release Date & Time Across All Major Regions
Path of Exile 2 is scheduled to be released on December 6, 2024, at 11 AM PST or 2 PM PT. However, it should be noted that the game is only accessible to players who purchase one of the starter packs. Throughout the early access period, you will have to pay for a starter pack in order to play the game. The starter packs for Path of Exile 2 start at $30. Furthermore, the early access version is currently only available on Steam. However, Path of Exile 2 is also coming to consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), albeit upon its full release. For the duration of the early access period, the only platform where you can purchase and play Path of Exile 2 is PC (Steam).
