In this guide, we’ll explore how to unlock the Forest, the Mountains, and the Jungle locations in Luma Island.
Luma Island is all about exploration. You explore to mine and farm resources, which you then use to craft new gear and equipment before moving on to the next location. Each location has its own set of resources to scavenge, hurdles to climb, and sceneries to soak in. You start the game out in the Farm, eventually making your way to the Town. From here on, there are three locations that you can unlock: the Forest, the Mountains, and the Jungle. Unfortunately, the game does very little to inform you how to unlock these locations. Our guide does, however.
In this guide, we shall go over the locations in Luma Island and how to unlock them.
How To Unlock the Forest
The Forest is the first region that you will unlock after the Farm and the Town. As you make your way past Sylvia’s shop and take a right from the Town gate, you will reach a dead end and a broken bridge. This bridge leads to the Forest, and you have to fix it to get across.
You will require the following items to fix the bridge:
- 2x Bridge Beams, which you can purchase at the Lumberjack’s Shop for 1000 gold coins per piece.
- 5x Silk Rope, which must be crafted with Fiber and Spider Silk at the Simple Workbench.
- 10x Farm Planks, which must be crafted at the Saw Mill with Farm Wood.
- 10x Farm Stone Blocks that you can craft at the Saw Mill with Farm Stone.
Use these items to fix the broken bridge and go across to reach the Forest.
How To Unlock the Mountains
You can reach the Mountains by using the cable car in Town. This cable car, however, has been damaged and needs to be repaired. You will require the following items to fix the cable car:
- 10x Iron Bar
- 25x Silk Rope
- 25x Forest Stone
- 20x Forest Resin
- 1x Cable
- 1x Cogwheel
While most of these items are standard and easy to obtain, it is a little tricky to find the cable and the cogwheel. You can purchase the cable from the store in the center of the Town after it has been repaired. You will have to repair it twice. The cogwheel is on a small isle near the shores past the forest.
How To Unlock the Jungle
You can only reach the Jungle by fixing the Old Abandoned Boat. To find the items needed to fix it, you will have to have thoroughly explored the rest of the areas. You will require the following items to fix the boat:
- 1x Lost Jungle Island Map (obtained from Nelson)
- 1x Boat Motor (purchased from the Fisherman Shop for 1000 coins)
- 1x Boat Propeller (found in the Mountains at the top)
- 50x Mountain Plank
- 25x Moonstone Bar
- 50x Mountain Color
Use the items to fix the boat and use it to reach the Jungle.
