GP-25 is a powerful Grenade Launcher in Stalker 2. Learn how to obtain it and lay waste to tanky mutants easily.
Stalker 2 only has two Grenade Launchers in the game that you can acquire. GP-25 is a powerful one that can give even the most powerful mutants and the most armored enemies a run for their money.
GP-25 is the only launcher of the two that is acquired through exploring rather than upgrading at a Technician bench. Your quest to acquire this devastating launcher will take you to the Cement Factory region.
You have to visit the Intercom Tower as shown on the map above. When you reach this settlement, there will be two buildings: one is the tower itself, and the other is a small brick shelter next to two metal gates.
Enter through this gateway and turn left immediately to enter the small brick shelter. Go to the back of this shelter, behind some lockers, and you will find a desk, a blue safe, and a keypad right next to the safe.
Here, you must put in the code 030794. If it doesn’t work, try changing the final digit (4) to another number from 0-9. Once done, you can open the blue safe beside you and gather the GP-25.
It is not a big weapon in itself but rather an attachment to use on guns. As of now, it can only be attached to the AKM-74S Assault Rifle.
How To Attach GP-25 Grenade Launcher to AKM-74S
As the equipment’s description itself suggests, it only fits the AKM-74S. So, if you have one already, don’t forget to attach the launcher to it. It is not rocket science but can be a little tricky if you are doing it for the first time.
All you have to do is drag the attachment from your inventory or the safe to your AKM-74S. The game will do the rest of the job and automatically attach the two together as soon as you drop it.
Now, you can access it anytime by opening the weapon wheel, equipping your AR in question, and pressing C on the PC or Down on the D-pad on controllers. GP-25 is located on the bottom right outside the wheel, below the flashlight.
Once it is equipped, the aiming cursor will change, and you can just fire away the grenades. The ammo you need to care about is VOG-25, some of which you will receive in the safe along with the launcher itself.
