Tired of playing with your keyboard and mouse? Find out whether Marvel Rivals supports controllers for PC players.
Using a controller to play Marvel Rivals wouldn’t be your most obvious choice if you are playing on a PC. The belief in the gaming community is that it is easier to aim using a mouse, compared to a controller. However, some people may find using a controller more comfortable.
The good news is that you can use controllers on PC to play Marvel Rivals. The official Steam page for the game says that it has Full Controller Support. This means you can use both Xbox and Playstation Controllers to play Marvel Rivals on PC.
All you have to do is plug in the controller. Steam’s software and Marvel Rivals should recognize the input device and let you play using the controller. However, make sure that you are using official Xbox and Playstation controllers. We would prefer that you use the Xbox Series and the Dualsense (PS5) controllers because the game was made for next-gen consoles and may not support old controllers.
Console gamers looking forward to NetEase’s upcoming game may be wondering whether they will get a choice between controllers and mouse. Well, it is a valid question.
Do Console Users Can Only Play Marvel Rivals With Controllers?
Some gamers may be aware of ximming. This is a practice in which console users use a keyboard and a mouse to play certain games. While modern consoles are built to support both the keyboard and the mouse, not every game comes with this support out of the box.
Most competitive shooter games like Call of Duty have this support enabled. We don’t yet know whether Marvel Rivals will support ximming though. Since the game is a competitive shooter, chances are that it might. However, there is no official confirmation so far.
If it allows console users to play using a keyboard and mouse, they will no longer have to stick with their only choice, which is controllers. That way, if they wish for it, they would be able to change their input device.
