Vitaly revealed being sued twice in the space of a week. The first one of the two was made by Hollywood screenwriter C. Jay Cox.
Kick streamer Vitaly Zdorovetskiy is one of the more contentious creators of the stake-owned streaming platform. One of his long-running content series is his “Catching Predators” series. As the name suggests, Vitaly seemingly lures individuals by discreetly arranging meetings with minors. Once these individuals make s*xual advances, the streamer and his team appear, attempting to expose them. While this has been a popular series among the Kick community, many have also criticized the streamer for attempting to take the law into his own hands.
The streamer, in fact, is currently facing two legal cases against him. The first one was made public on December 1, 2024. Hollywood screenwriter C. Jay Cox was a “victim” of this prank a few days ago. As a result, he has come forward and revealed going ahead with a lawsuit against the controversial Vitaly. He wrote:
“I was recently the victim of a brutal scam that targeted me as an older gay man in the entertainment industry. This gang wrongfully accuses their victims of pedophilia by filming them with men in their 20s and then after-the-fact claiming the men are minors.”
He added that he had evidence to back up his innocence, insinuating that he had made sure about the age of the person he was meeting with:
“While the outcome of the scam is embarrassing, it was a consensual encounter between two adults, and there was no illegal behavior of any kind – at least not for me. I have the receipts to back up my narrative, with screenshots of our conversation including his photo, as well as his social media posts showing various adult-aged birthdays.”
What Is The Second Lawsuit Against Vitaly
If one lawsuit wasn’t enough, Kick streamer Vitaly now finds himself facing yet another legal case. During his stream on December 2, 2024, he revealed that he had been hit with a second lawsuit.
C. Jay Cox filed the first lawsuit, but the streamer has not revealed who filed the second one. While it’s unclear if it connects to Cox, it likely comes from one of the alleged victims of his Catching Predators series. Speaking to his stream, he said:
“What if I told you, this morning… this morning, I’m not even going to say it. Maybe I’ll say it. Mom, she’s watching, she sent me. I got hit with another lawsuit. So, that’s all. Hey, and I’m still here today doing the same s**t I’m getting sued for. How many people out there are doing the same thing? How many of you guys? How many of you guys would do it? None of you! Nothing.”
