Iron Man is the most unique character in Marvel Rivals, as he is the only one who can always stay in flight mode. Flying around the arena and picking off foes with Unibeam and Repulsor Blast is a funny and cool way to play Marvel Rivals. Iron Man is also extremely hard to catch, thanks to his amazing Hyper-velocity mode.
The duelist comes with a 2-star difficulty, making him relatively easy to master. Since Tony Stark is handy and versatile, he works well with any team composition. However, these heroes are recommended as the best team-up for Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, in Marvel Rivals.

1) Hulk
Hulk is a Vanguard, who stays on the frontline of the battle. By aggro-ing the enemy forces towards himself, he provides an opportunity for Iron Man to take out the enemies from a long distance.
Moreover, Iron Man and Hulk share a Team-Up ability, which makes this duo a formidable one. The latter charges gamma radiation to the former. It allows Iron Man to upgrade his Armor Overdrive to Gamma Overdrive, enhancing the intensity of his Unibeam and Repulsor Blast.
2) Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange is another key member of Iron Man’s team-up ability, making him one of the best choices to pair with Iron Man. Similar to Iron Man, Doctor Strange receives a gamma upgrade from Hulk when included in the team.
As a result, Doctor Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness enhanced into Gamma Maelstrom, dealing increased damage with his dark magic. So, putting these power-packed heroes on the same team will create a nightmare for their opponents.
3) Spider-Man
Let’s move on to our next pick, Spider-Man. We know Spider-Man and Iron Man share an emotional bond, which also extends to an excellent synergy during the battle. Both Iron Man and Spider-Man are top-tier mobility characters, which makes them extremely hard to track and attack.
They can effortlessly move from one end to the other end of the arena. This makes the duo evade the opponent’s attack easily and launch surprise attacks on them, making them perfect for a Dive-and-Poke type team composition.
4) Star-Lord
Star-Lord is another duelist who shares some excellent synergy with Iron Man. Similar to Iron Man, Star-Lord can also engage in flight mode with the Rocket Propulsion ability. Together, these characters can perform some cool moves by flying across the arena and taking out the enemies.
Star-Lord is strong in close-mid-range combat, which makes him vulnerable in a ranged battle. Notably, this can be negated by teaming up with Iron Man, as he can take out enemies even from afar. This duo can easily eliminate enemies by mixing the Dive-and-Poke type team composition.
5) Captain America
Finally, we have Captain America. Apart from Hulk and Doctor Strange, Steve Rogers is a great choice as a Vanguard. This brings out the iconic duo—Captain America and Iron Man. Injected with the Super-Soldier Serum, Captain America is incredibly strong in close combat situations. This relentless super-soldier can take down multiple enemies single-handedly using his Vibranium shield, all while confidently saying, “I can do this all day.”
This provides an opportunity for Iron Man to take out the remaining forces by firing from above. Their teamwork also contributes to Captain America finishing off a wounded enemy that Iron Man has weakened, or Iron Man ensuring the safety of Captain America by patrolling the sky and watching his back.
