In this guide, we’ll explore how you can get the Grinder in Abiotic Factor, which is one of the many ranged weapons.

Among the vast majority of interesting weaponry, the Grinder in Abiotic Factor surely stands out. It’s a weapon that you get only through crafting, so don’t try finding one off the corpses of fallen enemies. It’s the unique projectiles and how they behave that make the ranged weapon super fun to use. However, before you can experiment with it, you’ll need to get your hands on one. In the following guide, we’ll explain how you craft the Grinder and some tips on using it effectively.
How To Get Grinder in Abiotic Factor

As we said previously, you will have to craft the weapon if you want to use it. For that, you will need to gather the following materials first.
- 1x Air Compressor
- 1x Computation Brick
- 2x Reinforced Hose
You can craft the Air Compressor by combining a Cannister, a Pressure Gauge, a Reinforced Hose, and a Chain. Similarly, you’ll need to craft a Computation Brick if you don’t have one already. Combine Security Bot CPU, Circuit Boards, Tech Scrap, and Case Fan to get the Computation Brick. You can trade Tiny Gears with Marion to acquire a Reinforced Hose. Once you have all of the necessary materials, head to a crafting bench to make the Grinder.

How To Use the Grinder in Abiotic Factor
After getting your hands on the weapon, you can try it out. The Grinder fires Grinder Discs. You can get 10x Grinder Discs by combining 1x Rebar and 1x Metal Scraps. Beyond that, you can also retrieve some of the Grinder Discs that you fire at enemies, similar to crossbow bolts. This mechanic ensures that you do not burn through all of your ammo too quickly. However, the weapon does have a high rate of fire, which is great if you’re looking to quickly bolster your Accuracy skill.
Another thing to understand is that Grinder Discs that hit a surface instead of an enemy will ricochet off it. These ricochet shots can then hit enemies, or, if you’re not careful enough, they might hit and damage you. So, make sure you take proper aim before firing off the shots from the Grinder. Here are some stats for the weapon.
- Weight: 5
- Durability: 35
- Loss chance: 12%
- Repair item: 1x Military Electronics
- Damage: 45
- Damage type: Fire/Sharp/Holy
