In the following guide, we’ll explain how you can get your hands on the Magbow in Abiotic Factor, which is a makeshift crossbow.
In Abiotic Factor, you’ll mostly fend off enemies with a variety of melee weapons. Even when you do come across ranged weapons, their ammunition is scarce, so you won’t be able to use them as frequently as you’d like. However, ranged weapons give you a clear edge in combat, allowing you to deal damage from a distance. That’s why the Magbow is one of the most convenient ranged weapons you can obtain in the game. You will only acquire it in the mid- to late-game stages.

How To Craft the Magbow in Abiotic Factor
You will need to gather the following materials and bring them to a crafting station to make the Magbow.

| 1x Steel Cable | Head to The Train region or the Manufacturing West mines. Break down Mine Crates to acquire this material. |
| 2x Capacitor | Slay Power Leeches and Electro-Pests to get this item. The former is an enemy type that spawns during the Rolling Blackout events. On the other hand, you can find Electro-Pests in the Particle Labs and level 2 of the Cascade Labs. |
| 2x Optic Lens | Trade a Reinforced Hose with the Blacksmith to obtain this material. |
With these materials in hand, head to a crafting station to make the Magbow. After creating the makeshift crossbow, you’ll also need to craft its ammo, known as Rebar Bolts. To make this ammunition, combine Rebar and Refined Carbon at a crafting station. You can get Rebar by breaking down Manufacturing Wood Crates and Mine Crates, while Refined Carbon comes from breaking down coal.

Stats of the Magbow in Abiotic Factor
One of the biggest advantages of the Magbow is that you can often retrieve many of the bolts you fire at enemies, helping conserve ammunition. This makes it an ideal weapon in survival scenarios. It also comes with a 4x Scope, allowing you to fire at enemies with precision from a distance. Here are its key stats:
- Damage: 120
- Damage Type: Sharp
- Durability: 30
- Weight: 4
- Loss Chance: 25%
The Sharp damage type makes the Magbow highly effective against heavily armored foes.
