Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the latest Xbox exclusive title from developer Asobo Studio. While the original Microsoft Flight Simulator was a rather niche title, the 2020 iteration of the series from Asobo Studio brought the franchise to mainstream limelight. And, with the latest title in the Flight Simulator series, Asobo Studio once again aims to deliver a truly immersive virtual flying experience to players.
Much like the previous title in the series, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is offered in multiple different editions. The Standard Edition is priced at the usual $70, with the most expensive digital version, the Aviator Edition, being over $150.
Naturally, for anyone new to the “AAA pricing model” of games, deciding between the various editions can be quite tedious. List Of All Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Editions
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is offered in four different editions – Standard, Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, and Aviator. The Standard Edition is priced at $70 and comes only with the base game. The Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, and Aviator Editions are significantly more expensive, but, in return, offer more content in the form of additional aircrafts and airports.
Taking a page out of another one of Xbox’s flagship IPs, Forza Horizon, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 doesn’t come with any pre-order bonuses. As such, you aren’t missing out on any content if you didn’t pre-order the game on Xbox or PC. That being said, here’s a breakdown of all the editions:

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Platforms
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam). PC players can also grab the game on Xbox’s app. Furthermore, Microsoft Flight Simulator is also available on Xbox Game Pass. However, there’s a catch. Similarly to Forza Horizon 5 and the recently released Motorsport, the Game Pass version of Flight Simulator only includes the Standard Edition. You can choose to get upgrade packs for the Xbox Game Pass version; however, those upgrades will cost extra and won’t be usable in the retail version of the game.
